"The sound of Bat Zuppel is equally scrambled, a surging blend of punk, noise, indie rock and psych that keeps you guessing what’s about to come at you next. It’s a little Pavement, a little Jesus Lizard, a little Built to Spill on speed, and it’s a head-spinning, sometimes jarring, sometimes beautiful concoction." - Scott Mervis, Pittsburgh Post Gazette
"The 12-track headbanger builds on the blended punk, psychedelic sound of [previous album] Dylar, with a fresh assortment of winding and abrupt psych-punk." - Pittsburgh City Paper
This release has a big aggressive sound that blasts out of my stereo. The performances and energy for each song make this one I come back to constantly. Plus the brown cassette gives it a unique look. doktorsanders
An awesome vibe to this album, it's the sweet spot between lo-fi, old school hip hop, indie and dance. It's what I loved listening to growing up in the 80s but without the Internet and living in small town England, it was really hard to find
It's a funky uptempo opening with singalong qualities that reels you in and keeps you hooked through the album. Excellent grooves, laid back and more intense and reflective moments it's a superb album.
